BREAKING: Apple contacts big developers about screen resolutions.
Monday, January 4, 2010 at 12:50PM I just received word from a developer about the upcoming "Apple Tablet." I received this news around 12:30 PM PST 1/4/10. The following is quoted from the developer himself.
"So, Apple has been contacting the top iPhone developers out there, and telling them to make their applications screen-independent. That means that Apple wants their apps to work on a device that isn't 480 by 320. Also Apple has been doing research on multicore processors (which quite possibly means background applications!). The one downside to all of this is that this means that the device is probably going to work on the Cocoa Touch framework, and not on the Cocoa framework or on a new more powerful framework. On top of all of that, apple has been hiring the top indie mac developers. I speculate that this either means that Apple is wanting to create some amazing games for their new device, or that they want to release a game engine with the tablet which would mean amazingly cool games!"
There you go, so it looks like we will be seeing a device that will be running some sort of iPhone OS 4.0 and not a version of leopard. Still no word about there being flash built into the tablet's browser but this feature could come with the release of 4.0, also price ranges could be from 599 to 799 but this is not for sure.
You heard it here first!
